Windows Security Setting

1. Windows Defender

1. Windows Start > Setting > Update & Security

2. Windows Security > Open Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection > Manage Setting

3. Turn off all options from the section.

• Note: As of 2/13/2023, “Real-Time Protection” setting will automatically re-enable itself after a system reboot. This is normal and this setting can stay enabled, after initial POS program installation is finished.

2. Windows Firewall

1. Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall > Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off

 2. Turn off the Windows Defender Firewall for Private Network
