Problem: I am able to capture all but when I try to settle, the POS and the credit card machine says Decline#:000100 and won't settle. My internet is connected and I have no problem doing sales with the credit card or capturing my tips.
Solution: Most of decline#:00010 happens because there is a short disconnect from the credit card processor and the credit card machine and the batch number has not update correctly. If this is the case, you may follow these simple steps to change the batch number manually to fix the issue.
Make sure your internet connection is stable. Starting from your credit card machine, find out what your machine use as the credit card processor, and follow the steps from this document.
When you are asked for the password, enter today's date in MMDDYYYY format (example if it is May 22th of 2023, type 05222023)
Go to the Host Setting and look for Batch Number Option.
Select the batch number option and change the number (usually adding 5 to the number shown on the option will work) Example: Batch number is 0 in picture, 0 + 5 = 5.
Exit out and try to perform Settle Trans from the POS.
